's guide to singing

I’m going to start with singing. First of all I’m going to tell you my history about singing.

This is all true facts. So, I started singing at the age of 4. I always loved to sing at home, in the park, at the mall, and at school.

At the age of 9 I applied for this choir called the Hackney borough youth choir for the first time. I was really nervous – in fact I was terrified. But then I got over my fears and finally auditioned.

A few days later I got a brown envelope saying I was accepted into the choir.

I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy, I didn’t know what to do to myself, but to be honest when it came to the day where I had to go, I got red and shy.

It took me a few days to recover. Then I started singing like Matt Willis [crash]. Anyway, that only lasted a few years, but that’s what got me started and so I’m going help you learn how to sing. If you think you have no windows at home because you’ve tried and it’s not working.

To begin, make yourself comfortable and relax.

Next, stand straight and make your posture nice and stable.

Start with a nice ‘ahhhhhhh’ sound and try to keep that nice low sound going until you can’t go any longer.

Next take a breath and do an ‘oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo’ sound. Also keep that to a nice sound also carry that on until no more.
