How to do a crossover in basketball ...by Devarn
(Video starts: Devarn is in frame spinning the ball on his finger)
Hello, my name is Devarn and I’m going to show you how to do a crossover in basketball. It’s one of main moves if you want to be a real baller!
The reason I love basketball is because I used to watch Michael Jordan do this move and he is my inspiration.
TOP TIPS BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
You need a hard ball so make sure it’s pumped up!
You need strong arms for this move especially if you want to repeat it like a pro!
Do it on concrete or even better go to a local basketball court!
Remember to wear the right clothes; shorts and a T-shirt.
Now you are ready to try the move (THUMBS UP)
Step one – strong foot forward. Make sure there is enough space between your feet.
Step two – hold the ball in you’re opposite hand to the front leg.
Step three – Bounce the ball so that it hits the floor in the middle between your feet.
Step four – make sure your other hand is ready to catch the ball, the other side of your legs.
Step five – one you get confident, you can do this move repeatedly to get the ball away from your opponent, and switch legs!
….And it looks pretty cool too!
Now the weather is getting warmer, you’ve got no excuse not to get down to the basketball court and practise. Remember, even Michael Jordan had to practise loads before he became a winner!
