Raven's Lovely caramel shortbread
For the shortbread you will need:
250g of plain flour, 90g of caster sugar and 180g of butter.
For the caramel you will need:
60g caster sugar, 120g butter, 2tablespoons of golden syrup and 1 tin of condensed milk.
First you will have to line a 12″ by 9″ square tin.
preheat oven to 160 degrees.
Next, in a bowl add sugar, flour and softened butter and make into a dough.
Spread the dough evenly in a prepared tin and prick your evenly spread dough with a fork.
Bake for 20-25 minutes and leave it to cool in the tin.
The next step should NOT be made by children
Add all ingredients to a saucepan and over a medium heat stir continuously for at least 15 minutes. The sauce should become thicker and darker in colour.
Take off the heat and pour the sauce over prepared shortbread. Using the back of the spoon even it out. When this has cooled take 200g of milky chocolate, melt and pour over the caramel and evenly smooth it over.
Now you can enjoy the lovely taste of caramel shortbread in your mouth:)
